How Local Online Advertising And Web Presence Affects The Sustainability Of A Small Business - by Stacey Kephart

Many small businesses are closing their doors in today's global economy due to the inability to properly market their business. The fact is that most people will only travel within a 5 mile radius of their home for products or services. With this in mind, businesses have got to find a way to constantly be expanding their customer base. If a business has products and services that can be sold and shipped to customers, the web presence of that business could determine if that business succeeds or fails.

Web presence is more than just having a nice looking website. It involves having a clean looking site that focuses on 5 or 6 popular products and marketing them heavily. Web presence is also about how your site ranks in the search engines when someone does a search for your niche. Many people today use the internet to find information. If your business and products can be found easily when someone types in various keywords, you should make many more sales. If no one can find your business, it is just like locking the doors and staying closed for the day. Web presence can affect what businesses are able to sustain this economic time.

To build a strong web presence, Concentric Local Advertising focuses on utilizing many marketing techniques simultaneously and putting them on auto pilot. Many of the marketing strategies are either free or low cost, but all together they are a powerful force. Using this technique, even the struggling marketer can find affordable small business advertising.

Some of the methods of Concentric Local Advertising involve:
1. building an effective website to market your products
2. placing local online ads
3. email marketing
4. forum marketing
5. social networking and social bookmarking
6. direct mail campaigns
7. video marketing

All of these methods work well individually, but together, they are very powerful. There are tools available online to automate many of the methods described above. Concentric Local Advertising explains what tools work best and where to find them. For example, there is a program called Twit Source which helps with marketing to social networking sites. Another program called the Tweet Tank can help you to automate Twitter. These programs are very cost effective when you look at the amount of time that can be saved from entering all information and comments manually.

In conclusion, constant marketing must be done in order to keep a small business running. If a business has a strong web presence and utilizes online local advertising effectively, the chances of gaining more customers will increase. These advertising efforts can be done manually, as well as simultaneously through automation tools. What ever the case, it is crucial that small businesses continually try to keep the attention of their customers while trying to introduce their products and services to potential customers.

Small Business Online Advertising Ideas That Won't Break the Bank - by Timothy S. Young

Many small business owners who have started up a website online were initially excited about the potential new customers that their online presence would inevitably draw in. As they registered their domain, signed up for webhosting, and designed a sharp looking website, they eagerly awaited the steady flow of traffic that they would surely receive.

I mean come on, in today’s world, everyone’s on the Internet right? Surely if I just throw up a fancy website I’ll be able to instantly generate hundreds of visitors a day without lifting a finger.

In the not too distance past, this scenario could actually play out. You could create a small business website and without really doing much, you could receive a fairly healthy stream of traffic.

However, today in 2014, with our overcrowded Internet, having a website is not enough. You must use small business online advertising techniques to promote your website, as well as spread the word about your products and services if you really expect to see any results.

But when you have a budget size that is significantly less than Coca-Cola’s, how do you compete? How do you do it?

I want to provide you with a brief list of some small business online advertising ideas that won’t make a mark on your budget.

Small Business Online Advertising Ideas

1. Get a Twitter account for your small business and become an active participant. Engage with your clients and you’ll be surprised how much community respect this rewards you.

2. Sign up for Facebook and get involved with what’s going on in your area. Create an interactive group, post articles and events, and keep a detailed, personal profile page.

3. Create a YouTube account and post some promotional, yet relational videos for your small business.

4. Start a blog about your small business. Make it honest, simple, and entertaining. Share your journey in the business, your goals, your vision, and how you’d like to give back to your community. Make it personal and people will begin to trust you.

5. Join some online forum discussion groups related to your industry. Make thoughtful, valuable contributions, and look for the right opportunity to share information about your business and when to leave a link to your site.

6. Write articles about your industry to establish yourself as an expert in your field, and submit them to article directories online. They will include your name, company, and a backlink to your site which will continue to increase your exposure. If webmasters like your articles, they’ll even publish them on their own sites.

There are many, many more small business online advertising ideas. These are only a few to get you started. Pick your favorite and try to spend an hour a day committing to this new idea. After a bit of time, you will definitely see results and some of your fears about small business online advertising will disperse. Stay focused, be creative, and be patient, and with hard work your small business will make an impact in the online world.

5 Powerful Methods To Stay Successful In Business - By: Samantha Milner

In business, achieving success is merely half the battle won. The other half? As many veteran businessmen would agree, sustaining success – staying on top of your game and on top of THE game – is the more difficult part of owning and operating a commercial enterprise.

Case in point: flash-in-the-pan businesses are a dime a dozen these days. Overnight successes are stories that are quite commonplace. But businesses that last for years, if not decades? Alas, they’re rarities in this day and age!

The goal isn’t merely to succeed in business. The goal should be to remain successful in business.
Here are 5 powerful principles to live by if you want to achieve such a goal:

1. Believe in your business. Your business is bound to encounter many challenges and many tribulations along the way. Some of these trials would be grave enough to make you consider quitting. But should you? Remember: if you don’t believe in your business, if you don’t believe that it can succeed, then why should your prospective customers believe that your business is the right choice for them? Your faith in your business will go a long, long way in pushing it to reach its fullest potentials.

2. Find satisfaction in what you’re doing. If you do not find contentment in what you’re doing, then it’s just a matter of time before you give up on your business. Fulfillment can be attained in so many ways. If you cannot find that sense of fulfillment from your business, it’s either because: a) you’re not looking hard enough; or b) you’re looking at the wrong place. The smallest victory can be a cause for celebration. And the tiniest of triumphs can even provide the biggest kind of satisfaction.

3. Make your customer’s satisfaction your primary goal. Profit is good, but it shouldn’t be the driving force of your business if you want your success to last. The happiness of your customers should be your paramount concern. Remembers, happy customers are customers for life.

4. Strive to improve your craft and your trade. Never rest on your laurels. Always try to be the best you can ever be when it comes to the things you do for a living.

5. Have fun! They say that the best kind of moneymaking opportunity is one that you enjoy doing. If you will find such a business, then you’ve hit the jackpot. Now, no one said that this “jackpot” can’t be created. You can find enjoyment in what you’re doing. Even if the business wasn’t born from a hobby you once nurtured, you can still find ways by which you can make it very exciting and very enticing for you. Your enthusiasm for your business will eventually show in the products you will deliver.

Giving Things Away to Attract Customers

I've set aside a nice chunk of my advertising revenue each month for giveaways, like a KitchenAid mixer. I like buying them for the audience, because without the audience I wouldn't have the blog or the revenue in the first place.” - Ree Drummond

Why Give Things Away?

Using freebies is a great business success tip for a number of reasons. First and foremost, it is more readily accepted than a promotion. While you certainly need to pitch people at some point, it doesn't have to be all you do.

Neither is offering a bunch of informative articles on a web site. This, too, is a good strategy, but it doesn't quite match up to the freebie that you deliberately send out.

Why is the freebie so highly cherished?

When you take the time to find or create something worthwhile to give to your prospects and list members, you are showing that you care. To them, it means that you are thinking about them. After all, why else would you consider sending that particular freebie to them?

With freebies, you build trust and respect. It starts from the moment your product arrives. This might all sound very simple. You might be thinking, "Great. I'll just dig around for some cheap report and ship it off."

Not All Giveaways are Created Equal

You must put far more thought into it than that. Here are some questions to ask yourself.

1. Why did those people find you? Why did they join your list?

Keep that goal in mind when choosing a freebie. If you send them something that is totally unrelated to why they signed up, you will lose them rapidly. They will see it as a feeble attempt to entice them into buying from you.

2. What do you want those people to think about you?

All of your offers, including the freebies, must send the same message. Namely, that you are a serious business professional who has a good reputation. You do that by making sure you live up to your members' expectations and then go beyond it.

3. What quality do you want associated with you and your business?

A majority of cheap giveaway products are of poor quality. Some just do not provide anything new or unique. They cover things that are commonly known facts. If you send such low grade freebies to your members, they will relate that to your other offers as well. It's not the way to win their hearts into respecting you and buying your products.

Additional Reasons for Giving Things Away

Alright. You've established that you know what will tickle your members' fancy. How else does it benefit you?

When people see the quality of your freebie, they will be more likely to take a look at your offers. Your name will be in the front of their minds when they're ready to buy.

What's more, they will be more likely to spread the word about the great experience they had with you. They will tell others about that positive experience and recommend that they join your list, too. Or better yet, direct them to your offer pages.

Who doesn't love a freebie? It perks us up, makes us feel important and special. It just makes us feel good, getting something of value for nothing.

As far as business success tips go, this is one well worth heeding.
